For the very 1st time ever, I was jumped and robbed by some young punks on my way back from Onslaught at DNA Lounge tonite. Luckily, not much was taken: my ACES embroidered wallet, with my bankcard and Cal DL. They pulled a small gun on me and knocked me to the ground, and I caught a couple punches to the face and a kick to the head before they fled. They failed to get my cell or my cash, which is cool, but its more the surprise of it, and the fact they pulled a weapon. Im shaken but not seriously hurt. I must give the SFPD credit; they responded within a few minutes and were exceedingly diligent and helpful when taking my info. Even though I was just 2 blocks from my intended destination in Bernal Heights, they gave me a ride. Thank you to them, and to Barry Simons, who helped me get squared when I arrived at his place. Much appreciation to all concerned. In the end, Im basically OK, but not particularly pleased, and will have a fat lip, a sore nose and a bump on my head to show for it all. To the little shits who jumped me...well, you suck.
