For theists : I think I have an argument that shows that the existence of a personal, omnipotent, benevolent God is as likely as the existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Researcher Gregory S. Paul estimates that 100 billion people have been born throughout human history (starting roughly 50 000 years ago, when Homo Sapiens—humans—first appeared). Over 50 billion people (children) died naturally (mainly from diseases) before they were old enough to give mature consent. He adds that as many as 300 billion humans (fetuses) may never have reached birth, instead dying naturally but prenatally (the prenatal death rate being about 3/4 historically). How can you still believe in a perfectly ethical and loving God? Why would God want or allow 50 billion children (50% of all humans that ever existed!) to suffer tremendously and die from natural diseases?...They once asked Noam Chomsky : Is there a God? And he said : If there is one its the Devil, just look at human history.
