For this Music Monday, another country song. About fifteen years ago the dial on my clock radio had been bumped, and I was disagreeably waking up to JR Country every morning. I was not a fan of new country music, for as Ian Tyson once said, Theres nothing rural about it. However, at a certain time of the morning theyd play an old song, and on this day I was waking up to a piece I hadnt heard before. I dont think the disc jockey had heard it before either, for when it ended he shouted, Oh yeah! Thats Mama Tried, by Merle Haggard! I had the same reaction. https://youtube/watch?v=UKuc4nfJByc
