For this coming Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2014, we are running under the category Ekidon and we will be running in teams of six to complete the 42 kilometre marathon. I would like to thank my ever supportive dad for agreeing to participate with me. I would also like to thank Mr James Tang from Brainy Moves, together with his team, has willingly agreed to run with me in this marathon. Please support us! We are fundraising for Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) as we hope to raise awareness of dyslexia, a learning difficulty that some children have. In the society we live in, dyslexia is more and more common: young kids are unable to remember simple words despite constant guidance and they have difficulty reading and studying. Some people may label this special group of children dumb as they misunderstand them. These kids are dyslexic and they require more time to learn than their peers. Some kids may be demoralised, eventually believing that they are worse than their friends, hence never able to reveal the true potential within them.
