For those concerned Halloween comes from the Catholic Old English - TopicsExpress

For those concerned Halloween comes from the Catholic Old English term All-Hallows-Even All Hallows= All-Saints Even=Night before between 1640 and 1800 it became shortened to Hallows even and due to Scottish fornication with the English language, by 1900 it became Halloween pronounced Hallo-we-en....and by the 1930s it commonly called Halloween and so in honor of ALL THE SAINTS or All Hallows....I bid you Catholics Happy Halloween, and the protestants Happy Candy Night!
