For those following my cat conundrums, Project Relocate Jenny-the-cat is successful! Shes moved from master bdrm to front bdrm Jennys Room. It took the vacuum cleaner to motivate her - along with wet food in the hallway - from hiding under the bed. She scooted out the door and down the hallway to the food and then ran down to her open room. I fortunately had a large piece of thick plywood (for upcoming office lab desktop) to block her from going down the stairwell - and of course, I had to lock up Freddie & William in the garage till this was all accomplished. Jenny is a very good cat in terms of not marking, not digging carpet and not using her box. You just cant get too close to her or touch her - shes absolutely fearful and wants to run & hide. From a short distance, though, shell cordially chirp at you esp if food might be upcoming. Jenny is now eating more wet food to calm her down along with watching Univision Mexican TV, which seems to suit her fine. She will also have a very nice street view, with activity, like she did at her old townhouse. Ill go there periodically for work to visit her as the room has a small sofa, laptop phone and library storage. Which suits me fine. This is about the best solution for her situation - 8+ yr old Jenny is very schizy and a bit feral-like [not uncommon in spayed white F cats] and lost her mom (well, supervisor/leader) when my 15yr old Pastel passed away in 2012. If Jenny were to have the run of the whole house shell end up scuffling with the boy cats (and lose), and likely perpetually hide out in the garage rafters. And if she got out she might not manage to come back home (she doesnt have street smarts).
