For those new to this page check this out for an example of UNITY within the commUNITY!!! HEK was an HB City Council Candidate this year. He never ran before. No political experience. No planning commission experience. No backing of current council members. No endorsements except HB residents. He was on zero mailers. No PACs invested any money on his exposure. He had zero name recognition from past campaigns. HEK and his team jumped on the campaign late while some other candidates had all of these above mentioned advantages including months/years of preparation. Some candidates had $25k-$150k in their campaign war chests and money being spent on their exposure from outside sources. HEKs campaign raised approx $7,000 in small donations from voting HB residents. HEK gained just over 10,000 votes against all odds!!!! A huge turn out for a first time candidate. A true grass roots campaign by an amazing HB Resident, Husband, Father, Businessman and generous/caring human. Anything is possible. Especially when good people unite. Congrats to HEK and Im extremely happy to say he is 100% healthy now. He got very Ill during the campaign. And he is eager to do an ART SHOW for a great local cause. Stay tuned. PMA. commUNITY!!!
