For those of us born and raised in the US, we are taught by our schools, churches, families and media that we are being raised by the land of the free and that our political, educational, religious, military, business and healthcare cultures love us since we are rightful heirs to this great nation.....until we grow up and actually wake up to the disappointing truths...that what our true intended fates is to be only of service to the corrupt powers that have distorted this vision once intended by our forefathers. Until we are willing to explore the possibilities that our intended fates are not pure in nature....can we then come to accept, and possibly begin to change, our fates and the fates of our fellow citizens. And of course, no country or culture or system is perfect, and there is always something somewhere to feel grateful for. But wouldnt it be refreshing for our nation to be honest about the whole thing, to acknowledge some parts are corrupt and broken, and for our nation to be willing to accept responsibility as well as become truly committed to embracing change? Instead of perpetuating the distortions? I would love for our nation to pull off the temporary band aids, and then attend 12 step self help programs, lol. Because until we all take responsibility for the roles we all play in this dysfunctional national family we call the United States of America, there can never be real growth or change or maturity. We are a young nation still, with many challenges created because of our diversity...but is our diversity which can uplift us and unite us, and finally become as great as we have been indoctrinated. Oh we have so much to learn from others, and we have many opportunities to right so many wrongs. My hope and prayer is that I live long enough to watch us learn, grow and change...and truly earn all those wonderful ideas we have been taught about ourselves. ( ok Im done ranting now, I think. You sure you guys wouldnt prefer I take a longer break from FB???) hahaha
