For those of us who were born and/or raised in America and have Africa-born African parents, we constantly hear both sides of this conversation. The comedians behind this clip realize that for every cringe-worthy comment that is directed at an Africa-born African, there is one that originates there and is directed at an African-American. Stereotypes abound on both sides. There is an amazing opportunity and necessity for dialogue around this issue. Black folks have immense opportunities to improve communication across the Diaspora. We are all one Black people – all descendants of Africa’s best. We can do better.
