For those of us with post-Con blues, I propose some smaller events in various parts of the country at various times of the year - you know, a one-day type of thing that only has to be regional unless people want to drive a couple of hundred miles. So even more Discworld events throughout the year (of course, not to take anything away from Spring Fling and Hogswatch, both of which are on my must do some time list - these would just be little extras to stave off withdrawal) For example, since it turns out I could walk to the IRL inspiration for Tiffanys white horse, it would be nice to get a few dozen people together for an unofficial Saturday gathering that requires no work leave (at least for us 9-5ers) and, hopefully, no hotel expenses unless we continue to drink like the rugby club ;-) Just a day here and there for celebrating our mutual fandom, with time for Werewolves and/or Cards Against Humanity or other great nerd games. Anyone think such things would go down well? What could we call them?
