For those of you following Wes, you all know in May while at the hospital for his last month of chemo he went Into heart failure and had to be sedated, put on a ventilator, an external heart pump, & eventually the LVAD device was implanted into his heart which now pumps for the left side of his heart. This was all due to damage from a virus he acquired and possibly chemo. Since that time he has fought to come back to us & has been awake and responding to us & breathing on his own over the vent at times. He then developed fungal pneumonia, and another type of infection in his lungs. These infections have caused his body to fill with fluid faster than his body could get rid of it & his internal organs are unable to operate like they should due to the fluid overload. Wes has been in cardiac intensive care at Cincinnati childrens since may 8th & he is now on full life support. Dialysis was started to try and remove the fluid & pressure around his organs so his body can start working again. The next couple days are critical. Wesley is fighting for his life! Prayer warriors please pray for life for Wesley!!!!! Please respect our familys privacy at this time & dont blow up Jens or Danielles or any of the grandparents phones with questions & concerns. We know you all love him too & we appreciate all your prayers & concern & will update as we can. Thank You
