For those of you in Michigan that either have used or are supporters of the Early On program, please see below for your opportunity to make your voice heard! Dear Early Childhood Supporter, The House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure is scheduled to vote on HB 4004 to create the Early On Michigan License Plate on Tuesday, March 25, and they need to hear from you! If your Representative sits on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, please reach out to him/her today. If your State Representative is not on the committee, please reach out to the Committee Chair Representative Wayne Schmidt. The message is simple: • I understand the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure is scheduled to vote on HB 4004 on Tuesday, which will create the Early On Michigan License Plate. As your constituent, I urge you to vote in support of this bill, since Early On provides services to families of infants and toddlers from birth to age three who have a developmental delay or a condition that is likely to result in a delay. • Early identification and connection to appropriate services can ensure that children and their families receive the support they need to grow, develop, and be as ready as possible for success in school and in life. • This license plate would be a valuable source of revenue for Early On as well as a tool for outreach. For your information, below is a list of the membership of the Committee, including the service area(s) of their districts.
