For those of you itching to start opening those packets of seeds and are perhaps new to allotmenting may I say HOLD BACK until the days are a bit longer, the light is brighter and most of all the soil is warmer. You could set up a tray or two of Sweet Peas though if you have a windowsill that catches the sun (when it,s there) and don,t over water or leave in a cold spot. Ignore what it says on seed packets that say sow in January. They just want you to buy another packet in February.
