For those of you looking to get into Ironman Florida 2015, here are a few tips and things to know that can help you get in. (No Guarantees) Have the following ready prior to signup: - Your USAT card (it wouldnt hurt to have it active through the end of November 2015) usatriathlon.org/membership-services/join-or-renew.aspx - An active credit card (Discover not accepted) - An active Active account (validate that you know your password and can sign in. Do this prior to Sunday) If you are doing this at work, I found it best to get this on your calendar. If you block out 10:45 - 11:15 and close your door so not to be interrupted, you have your best chance. This will sell out quick (less than 5 minutes) so be ready. I repeat some of what I said prior because it is that important. 1. Online signup will begin at 11:00am Central time here in Springfield on Sunday November 2nd. (dont forget the time change) 2. Be sure, prior to Monday, to have an Active account set up, that you know your password and can sign in. 3. Be sure, to have an active credit card that will be able to handle ~$850(includes active fees) (Discover is not accepted) ready to go. 4. On Sunday, around 10:45am, head over to ironmanflorida Plan on being early. 5. In another window, head over to Active and sign in, leave this window open. 6. Hover over the registration tab and select 2015 registration information. 7. Click the refresh button on your browser about every 15 - 20 seconds, more frequently as you approach the 11:00am mark. Do not give up. Once the registration period is open the status will change and a register/register now button should appear. (It is important to refresh often as you want to be one of the first ones in and the button will not appear unless you refresh). 8. Once you get directed to the Active registration site, you will need to follow their directions. Answer any required questions that are not necessary with NA. (you can fill out medical and personal information at the race site next year. Answer NA). 9. Answer quickly, submit quickly, pay quickly. Good luck to those who are trying to get in. We have 6 that are committed and will get to sign up on site this weekend. I would love to see this number double. If you get in, shoot me an email.
