For those of you who are considering an Apple product that contains a storage device (hard drive or SSD, such as the iPad, iPhone, iMac, and especially Time Capsule) with a sealed case, youd better think again. Apple DOES NOT provide data backup, so when the drive inside of the TimeCapsule goes south, if you want to obtain warranty work, you are surrendering your data to the unknown. If you open the case and have DriveSavers or other recovery company take care of it, you void the warranty. So...if you are thinking about buying a TimeCapsule, dont do it. Apple always choose the cheapest component and charge you the highest price. In the TimeCapsule (the new/vertical one), the drive inside is a 2.5 5,400RPM drive. You are better off buying an AirPort Extreme and hook up a drive of your own. Chunghao Kuo: Are you listening?
