For those of you who are currently studying for the CEN, here are some tidbits of knowledge we wanted to pass on to you from some of our Facebook friends who have recently been successful on the exam. These are areas you may want to focus you studying as you prepare based on those who just completed the exam: 1.) Infectious disease (especially mumps) 2.) Lots of trauma (Apparently studying your TNCC manual is a great help for one of the current exams). 3.) Lots of pediatric questions 4.) Neurology questions are heavily focused on neuro trauma 5.) Lots of DKA questions 6.) Spinal cord injury questions 7.) ABG questions Remember, if you are not strong on ABGs, there is a video at our website specifically focused on ABG interpretation.
