For those of you who are lucky and have a snow day today, a documentary to look for on Netflix is called SOMM. It is about 4 sommeliers preparing to take their Master Sommelier test. Not the most exciting and action packed documentary out there but still really interesting to see how some of the descriptions are created on restaurant menus and wine reviews. We tend to not use fancy terms to describe our wines like violet essence or lime zest when you smell them since well we make our wines to be enjoyed and drunk with good friends and family. (Only go fancy like that when you are trying to impress your in laws maybe.) But this documentary is certainly eye opening.
