For those of you who dont know Becca from Beccas Cafe? in Anderson, she has a heart of gold. When she read about Lizzie Marie Johnson? our 14 year old Redding girl who received a heart transplant just five weeks ago and found out their car broke down while her stepdad was on his way home at 12:30 in the morning in Orland, she immediately wanted to help. She is putting out donation cans in her restaurant and donating the proceeds of their October 16th bake sale to Lizzies family to help get a car. We will also be planning a fundraiser at the restaurant for her shortly with 100% of the proceeds going go her. There is a 14 year old girl fighting for her life and her family is struggling with NO CAR! I cant imagine what they are dealing with and no parent should ever have to but sometimes life is harsh and unfair. I will be planning a huge event soon and in the meantime will be excepting donations and having a bake sale October 16th at the cafe.
