For those of you who have nominated Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue as the charity you want to receive your Pets at Home VIP Lifeline points - we have just received a voucher from them for the last quarter for £40!! We normally get £30 or £40 every quarter and this is down to YOU - our supporters so thank you very much! This voucher will be used to buy little Maria a new coat. I havent introduced you to Maria yet but she is a gorgeous little 6yr old staffie. Rescued last week from an abusive life and has had several homes - she was walking strangely and seemed too lethargic when we visited her so it turned from an assessment into bundling her into the back of the car and getting her to safety!! After xrays (and a dental) it appears she has arthritis in her spine so shes on longterm metacam. Why is it that the most abused dogs are often the most sweet and loving? This dog is a little darling! She needs a coat though as anyone who knows staffies will know that they just do not do rain, wind and cold!!!!
