For those of you who knew her, there is now a statement about Andersons death on her page. In our business, you meet a ton of people, and many of them are wonderful. However, there are a handful out of those, that you consider yours. Anderson was one of those. Even before we worked with her, I knew of her, always, off in the distance, booking shows. She believed in us, and hundreds of other small independent bands. And we believed in her. She was a connection point for many of us out on the road. Those that knew her, loved her, and those that didnt were quickly given her contact information. In a very real way, she made the world a better place, connecting artists with new fans, as well as her work with the Boston School of Rock where she taught young people the realities of following their dreams. Even from a distance she made us happy. We cheered her events and successes on from afar. We lamented with her as she struggled to fill tiny rooms with enough people to cover costs, just so she could do the same thing the next weekend. She gave us faith... And I suppose if I had to summarize my interactions with her, She gave is probably the most succinct way I could possibly put it... And goddamn we are going to miss her and her amazing hair. Thank you Renee for everything. We are so sorry for your loss.
