For those of you who know me. My father had a passion for listening to clocks .. So I have taken up that same passion and have rebuild to cuckoo clocks that I have acquired over the years . And it is nice to hear the sound cuckoo clock in middle of the night as it woo whoos the time. The sound of the tick tock helps me sleep at night too. They are both original German made clocks too. And before my mother passed whe gave my wife on of the cuckoo clocks the her and my dad bought in Germany. I own three of my fathers many clocks he acquired over his years of travels. The one I am fond the the most is the wall mounted Westminster Grandfather Clock. he having trouble keeping it going and I would watch him work hard at cleaning it taking it apart (to a point) and put it together again and reset the balance, wind it up and it would work for months. He purchased this clock around the Victoria Texas area (dont remember exactly where) but I rode in the back of the family stationwagon trying to keep it quite as we would hit the bumps in the road. I would like to find that shop again (if it still stands) to buy another so my grandsons can enjoy the simple thing of life. I am now the tme keeper of the Grandfather Clock that has chimed in many homesover the years and hope chime in many more. Dad I miss you so much and rememberthe fun you had with all the clocks you touched. May you love of simple things live on for generation to come.
