For those of you who know, my dad passed away peacefully last Friday after a 2 year long battle with brain cancer. Just thought Id share this blog post his wife wrote about his passing. I normally can be pretty strong and put on a brave face, but Ill admit, I cried the whole way through as she shared my dads final moments. One part she shared, which hit me hardest was this... When someone has a baby here on earth, family and friends are there to celebrate that new arrival and welcome them into their lives. I think it is the same on the other side. Family and friends are there to welcome the new arrival and it’s as natural and normal as can be. Im so grateful for the peace I feel in knowing that my dad is in a better place. I too believe, he is surrounded by his parents and other loved ones who have gone before him, much like friends and family gathered around to see each one of my boys on the day they came into this world. I will still miss him and savor the sweet moments I shared with him ever since the beginning. He was a very sweet, loving, sensitive and understanding father to me. I feel like I went into mourning ever since he moved away to Texas, far away from us kids and the grandkids, so Im grateful for one thing, with his passing...that hell now have a chance to visit us whenever he wants, free from the diseased and weak body that was holding him back. Love you always Dad!
