For those of you who may be really into aboriginal, native dogs - there is a litter of tajik shepherd (central asian, native of Tajikistan) born January 1 in Italy. Some people have seen Francesco Spiaggias website, tagiko - he has the really fascinating pictures of his adventures to go find the parents of this litter in the mountains, with the shepherds. Francesco has relatives that fly to both LA and NY every couple of months, and told me that they could transport puppies if anyone is interested. Both parents have excellent ratings on hips, both are full time with sheep, and the litter will have FCI papers. I dont think the price will be high, he is doing this for the love of the dogs. But also - not free...but I didnt ask him :) These tajik shepherds are smaller than most central asians, very tough, stubborn, fast, VERY intelligent & athletic... If you open the website in Chrome it will translate. Most of it is in Italian, except the article that was published in CAO & Cousins, which is in English. The pics below are from his website - the pups are from last year, same parents. I think the parents are 3 yrs old now.
