For those of you who may not know, I organize a fitness group. We are a small dedicated group that has risen to about 15 members. We hold each other accountable to our fitness goals through a secret facebook group. Every 60-90 days we hold a challenge to see if we can get into the best shape of our lives during that time. Every quarter we do a new challenge and accept 2-3 new recruits. Why do we accept new recruits? Because every single challenge weve held so far (4 so far) many people who join, quit. Why do they quit? Because this group is NOT for everyone, its not even for most people. Its a for a select few. This is not a hold hands and support you through positive reinforcement group. I dont think there is anything wrong with that style, this group just isnt that. Its about people who are ready to kick their lives into the next gear and need a swift boot to the booty to get there. We push each other, we make fun of each other, we dont like each other... but we love each other. We all push each other out of love, love for our goals to be greater than our excuses. Its hardcore. People get kicked out of the group for not participating. People talk trash and expect you to talk trash back. If you are sensitive to harsh criticism in any way, this is NOT something you should consider. Know yourself. We have had people lose over 50 lbs, achieve goals like dunking, doing 1,000 burpees in a row, run marathons, combat genetic issues and more. We are looking for 2-3 more people to add to the group. The group is free financially but you pay with your sweat and hard work. If you slack, you are out. If you stay committed, the group will be one of things you look forward to the most everyday. All members are looking to nominate someone, so if you are not selected, dont take in personal, there will be many people applying for a few spots and the entire group votes on who is in and who is out.
