One man with desperation in his heart was determined to make a difference and restore peace to the land. One man with a secret was about to change everything The Peacemaker Gerard lay in his bed beckoning his son to come closer. He was gravely ill. His face stared gauntly out across the room; his eyes and skin, yellow and cold. His Healers said it was the liver disease and no matter how many times he drank the elixirs they prepared nothing could give him ease or heal his decaying body. He himself could no longer make the healing potions or cast the spells he use to when he lived at the Keep. He had taken to drinking strong liquor after his wife Hela had died and slowly it had poisoned his body. “Arnak I am dying. Take care of your sister and our lands my son”. He winced in pain as tears rolled down his cheeks. Arnak yelled at his father’s men. “Help him you fools he’s dying”, but there was nothing they could do. Time was all that was left until he was taken to the Other World, a world of peace and comfort. Arnak knelt at his father’s bedside pleading with his father not to die. Gerard’s breath grew shallow and he gasped for breath, fear entered his eyes. Then there was silence. Arnak looked at his father and his head slumped onto the bed. When he finally lifted his head from his father’s bedside, tears ran down his cheeks and rage filled his cold sapphire blue eyes. With an authoritive tone in his voice he said loudly and clearly, “I am lord of these lands now! All will fall on their knees before me or suffer my wrath.” The men in the room bent to their knees and said in unison “Lord Arnak!” Looking at his father he started to shout. “Father I will make them suffer. I will make them rue the day they cast you out. They will bend on their knees and beg for their lives. They will pay for the way they desecrated you”. As he clenched his fists he rose to his feet and continued his tirade. “I will rule with vengeance in the sake of your name. So help me, this I promise you!” Arnak turned to his bodyguard and commanded, “Take me to Athena!”
