For those that are not aware of the many accurate financial forecasts that I have published since 2003, here is a reprint of a publication of mine from just before the big plunge in global stock markets in 2008. In the title, the words Stop gambling refer to the poorly-researched investment strategies of the vast majority of global investors. Historic extremes of speculative investment gambling have been enthusiastically performed by the masses (of course, with the powerful encouragement of the mass media and marketing industry). Because of those extremes, the level of opportunity for prudent investors is also historic. Of course, the same extremes also make the risks enormous for real estate speculators, especially if using borrowed funds. Note that in the 2012 article linked in the first comment, I followed up on my prior warnings about real estate (starting in 2003) with answers to these two questions, among many others: So, what is similar about Phoenix and Las Vegas that separates them from all of the others? What distinguishes those two places from other parts of the US? Prices in Phoenix had just fallen 48%. Prices in Las Vegas were down 60%. In addition to falling further than most parts of the US (or Europe, etc), those two areas also started to decline earlier (in mid-2005). In the below article from September of 2005, I wrote: So, it may not be long before gamblers/speculators in US real estate are suddenly exposed to... the domino effect. In fact, back in September of 2005, I had written this (as if to answer the question that I later repeated in 2012): So, how can I possibly suggest that oil markets can effect real estate markets? First, lets say you commute from your suburban real estate location to work. Lets imagine that today it costs you three times as much as it did a year ago.
