For those that have asked, I am fine, just took the past two evenings to process what I dealt with at work yesterday. One of my staff informed me that a man had passed out on the upper deck, when I got to the scene the reality was he was having a heart attack. A nurse that just happened to be there and myself began CPR and after a few minutes gained a pulse but he was obviously in bad shape, part of the issue was the head injury he obviously incurred when he fell backwards. An off duty police officer made all the emergency calls and helped get emergency personnel on site very fast. As this was unfolding what I found truly appalling is the individuals (one was his brother) that were with the victim never got up from the table and kept watching the sporting events on the TVs? Strangers were the ones that sprung into action to help this man and the so called friends acted as if nothing was going on, they would not even answer our questions about any medical conditions we should be aware of, I truly am at a loss for words or maybe just what I want to say about them is utterly too offense to post. The paramedics were able to stabilize the man and off he went in an ambulance...sadly he went alone as his so called friends wanted to finish watching the game. I took their tab to their table and cashed them out, and kindly asked them to leave, in addition the nurse and officer that helped, well I comped their tabs and joined them for a chat...society is so messed up when strangers care more about a person then those that are supposedly their friends and family....
