For those that think the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is a joke: YOURE THE JOKE. Over $11 million has been donated to ALS since this challenge was created. If you have an issue with that then you must have too many issues of your own. The whole concept is about creating AWARENESS. Just because you dont want to get uncomfortable for a few minutes (depends on how long it takes you to dry afterwards), think about the people that are battling ALS and are constantly uncomfortable day to day. For those that choose not to do the actual physical part of the challenge, it reminds them they have an option to donate to the cause. For those that dont have extra money to donate, youre still helping by making a stupid short video and spreading that awareness to your network of friends on Facebook. On that note, thank you Ryan Hoelker for nominating me. If you hadnt, I probably would never think to donate to ALS. No, I dont think Im such a philanthropist but hey, Im glad I did the challenge and donated to a great cause. For those that did the same, youre pretty neat:) #petefrates
