For those who care in our beloved city of baguio, shall u bother to read this? ( sorry for the terrible writing skills but i shall continue it anyway) Im not in the position to say these matters but i believe that i need to voice out what others may have done days ago. Baguio is crowned as the summer capital in the philippines and is being hailed for its lustrous beauty and cold breeze. According to some findings, it is designed for the capacity of 25,000 people which is intended as an american vacation hotspot here in the north. But today according to the 2013 survey the current population is more than that, it is amazing how our beloved city continues to tolerate the monstrous traffic brought by commuters especially on weekdays, also due to the increased number of cars in the city whether public or privately owned. It is also amazing how it can shoulder the demands of its current population although the city is experiencing a tremendous garbage problem. Now, as we know the government and we have allowed over a million tourists to visit the area for this holiday season, merely for them to experience the cold weather and the pine breeze that brought most of the private sectors to have their pot of gold. My point here is that, considering the fact that our city is experiencing space problems, are we not in the position to lessen this problem and think for the foresake of our beloved city? Are we not dissappointed when we see mountains of garbages left out by irresponsible tourists after savoring the delicacy of the city because we allowed them to? If they want a cold getaway, they can just visit some other places in our country like subic or tagaytay, im sure some of them can afford to do so, instead of creating and experiencing a hasstle getaway here in our city. Maybe, most of us did not realize that the ones whos getting the most benefits of these matter are the rich families owning a hotel and other buisness establishments hit for the tourists, for gods sake most of the commodities are touristly priced because of them. Did we not think the sake of most of our residences tolerating the hour long traffic just to to buy ingredients for their noche buena? Or to go to other places to savor the christmass crisp of their own city along with their family. Though those ones who came to visit their relatives is understandable but still should be limited. Im not saying that im against the tourist to visit our city, im suggesting to limit the number of travellers to visit every season or every day to atleast less than 10,000 to control the traffic, garbage, noise or other problems caused by the seemingly uncontrolled population. I dont want buisness establishments to be in the state of bunkruptcy but the state of the city and its people should be the priority. Because you paid attention, here is a potatoe :)
