For those who choose to use a camera during exercise should be aware that there is strong evidence that summary feedback of results provided after several trials has a greater impact in the retention phase of skill learning (what we want to achieve in sport) than does immediate feedback after each trial. In addition, the use of augmented feedback during or immediately after each trial acts against the development by the performer of self-generated mechanisms for detection of error (Cassidy, Stanley, & Bartlett, 2006).
