For those who didnt read this post (6 March 2012)... TIME TRAVEL OR ANOMALY? Logically (at least to me), the maximum possible difference in time zones between two countries is 23 hours. Surprisingly, Nukualofa (Tonga) and Enewetak (Marshall Islands) are GMT+13 and GMT-12 respectively, which gives a time difference of 25 hours. These two places are geographically about 2725 km away from each other. If you were to travel by an X-15, currently the fastest manned aircraft in the world - it can reach a maximum speed of Mach 6.72, (7,274 km/h) - it would take you less than 23 minutes to travel from Nukualofa to Enewetak. As an example, think about this scenario... If you were to leave Nukualofa in an X-15 at quarter past midnight (12.15 a.m.) on 1st Jan, you would reach Enewetak at 11.38 p.m. on 30th Dec (nominally, 2 days before). Simply amazing! ©ueboy
