For those who dont know, Im an assistant teacher at a daycare in the Lakeview area of New Orleans. My passion has always been for children but my dream has always been to work with kids with special needs.While I was out with a friend earlier this evening, a lady who works alongside my employer spotted me and approached me. She introduced herself and explained that shes been observing me at work and saw how great I am with the one autistic kid we have and how even though hes not in my classroom I go out of my way to visit him on lunch breaks and get there early just to see him. Long story short she offered me a position to work for her company a few Sundays a month being paired with a child with special needs for the day to watch over and spend time with. Theyre providing me classes,seminars and certification services free of charge so I can be fully prepared and capable of this amazing opportunity. IM TOO STOKED ON LIFE RIGHT NOW!
