For those who doubt the lay eyewitnesses out there, there are two - TopicsExpress

For those who doubt the lay eyewitnesses out there, there are two people who would know, with absolute certainty, what occurred from start to finish in the shooting of Michael Brown: Michael Brown and Officer Wilson. Michael Brown is dead. Now then, is Officer Wilson going to come forward and explain himself voluntarily? I doubt it. Were I his lawyer, I would be telling him to button up and shut up. If he is named as a defendant in a criminal case, he will have the luxury of the Fifth Amendment and will not even be required to take the stand and give his version. So, how do we get his version? The family files a civil suit for wrongful death and names the Ferguson Police Department as the defendant. In that case, a subpoena is issued for the deposition of Officer Wilson and then, he has nowhere to hide. Now then, do I think that a civil suit would even proceed that far? Uh, no. I predict an out of court settlement long before the deposition of Wilson proceeds. Thus, we NEVER hear Wilson explain himself. So, all of you talking about lets get all the facts, please realize that there is a very real probability that this will never ever happen as it is highly unlikely that we will ever hear Officer Wilson explain himself. Yet, trials proceed to jury verdict EVERYDAY under this very scenario with people either convicted or acquitted, as the jury sees fit. So, lets cut out this FANTASY about *all the facts.* Otherwise, this whole thing just might as well end now...Dana Eilers
