For those who had been asking for an update on my health, I saw the specialist in Lincoln yesterday. I have a battery of tests to go through in the next few weeks. They will run blood tests as usual but will also do an ultrasound to see how the liver disease has progressed. I will also have the varices (veins) checked to make sure none are ready to burst like they did a year ago. If they find weak veins, they will band them so they dont pop. I had another medication added and they will tweak the ones I have been taking when the blood work returns. Then its off to UNMC for their evaluation of the situation. A special thank you goes out to Thelma Schroeder for driving me all over the place since the boys are working and the encephalopathy doesnt let me drive myself anymore. Its One Day at a Time for me.
