For those who have been fighting with me today (and anyone else who doesnt have the facts) about the Unemployment Rate released by the government after the recent jobs report, the TRUE rate (the U-6 number) is 11.5%.. the numbers our government releases to the public DO NOT include the people who have used up all of the UE benefit checks.. a person can only receive checks for a set amount of time by law.. once they run out, if you are still unemployed, youre no longer participating and thus NOT COUNTED in the publicized rate.. the Labor Participation Rate is now at its lowest point since 1978.. almost 40 years.. all of this can be found online in less than 3 minutes.. start educating yourselves.. stop being sheep..
