For those who have said yes to group training with us on Muscle Ups, the Muscle Up bar will be installed this week in the barn, now Jack in the Box, which now gives us THREE meanings to the phrase Jack In The Box. The bar will be adjusted in height as we each increase our strength and ability. For those just starting Muscle Ups, heres a great way to get your body used to the entire movement. You can use a pull-up assist machine and GRADUALLY increase the level of difficulty. This CAN, but not always WILL, add stress to the joints and connective tissue, so I recommend elbow wraps and/or wrist wraps as needed. To avoid tendinitis even more, try smearing cortizone cream or gel, arnica cream or gel and some heating compound like Icy Hot before putting the wraps on. To accelerate the absorption rate of the creams/gels, add a little DMSO after all creams or gels are on. Pay attention in the video where youll see I make sure I include the stretch or elongation of muscles at the bottom of the movement, and a lifting of the feet off of the support at the top of the movement (where possible and depending on the unit).
