For those who may have missed my earlier post, some Internet Dude edited all three Hobbit movies together, and then cut out what he felt was unnecessary or took away from the original narrative. For instance, the movie starts off with Bilbo smoking his pipe, as opposed to a twenty-minute prologue. Im forty-six minutes in, and another obvious edit is the complete excision of Radagast the Brown and his stupid bunny-sleigh-chase. Ive yet to see an orc. The movie is much lighter now, more whimsical, and seems to focus more on the journey that Bilbo is taking. Which, to me, shouldve been the main drive. That journey, his transformation. His sense of awe and wonder is palatable. :D On a related, apparently Internet Guy is not alone in his quest to redo the Hobbit trilogy. Theres some other guy doing the same. How neat.
