For those who may not have seen this...R.I.P. Boss... Kerry L. Tunnell, 67, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Broken Arrow, OK. Born October 19th, 1946 to Wallace and LaFern Tunnell in Great Bend, Kansas. Preceded in death by father, Wallace Tunnell and first wife Lori Tunnell. Survived by mother, LaFern Tunnell; wife of 15 years, Sunny Tunnell; daughter, Taylor Tunnell; son, Zackary Tunnell; and brother, Conley Tunnell and his wife Nancy; nephews, Christopher Tunnell, and Justin Tunnell; nieces, Allison Irvin, Adison Tunnell, and Cassidy Tunnell. He was in the first graduating class of Memorial High School, 1964. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Vietnam Veteran in 1967. While attending Colorado State College he made his career choice the food and beverage industry, over the next forty years he was owner or part owner of twenty successful restaurants and bars. Notably in the Tulsa area, IV Play, The University of Wash, Sutures Bar and Grill, Crawpappys, and Potbellys. He was a tremendous sports enthusiast. In his younger years he participated in numerous athletics, including football, wrestling, baseball, swimming, water skiing, snow skiing, surfing, golf, hunting, and fishing. In later years, his favorite participation sport was fishing with his buddies. He was proud of being the fish camp cook. He loved amateur wrestling and was a huge OSU Cowboy fan, attending most home matches, numerous Big 12 tournaments and NCAA championships over the years. He lived life to the very fullest and firmly believed that Its not how many years you live, but how you live your years. He died with no bucket list!
