Ch. 2 – You Might Not Finish This Chapter • Stress + Worry = Arrogance o Equation is true when things rely more on our strength than on God’s • Is the movie of life really about you? o Or does God just let you play a small part in it? Ch. 3 – Crazy Love • What’s it like when your kids really show you there love? • What’s it like when they don’t? o How is that our relationship with our heavenly father? • What kind of inheritance are you? o Eph 1:18 Ch. 4 – Profile of the Lukewarm • Listen to Paul Harvey’s “If I were the Devil.” o Done in the sixties, I believe • Have we been duped into equating the American Dream to the Great Commission (Matt 28) or Great Commandment (Matt 22)? • What kind of “soil” are you (Matt 13)? • Are you really ok with being lukewarm in your walk with Christ? o Even if it means He would spit you out? Ch. 5 – Serving Leftovers to a Holy God • You’re not allowed to be lukewarm! • However, we do all have lukewarm elements. • We’ve been given so much…how much does God get back from us? Ch. 6 – When You’re in Love • How do you actively love Jesus? • Does that draw anyone to Him? • We need to focus more on the Power of the Holy Spirit to help us love and live like Jesus • On our own, it’s just too much. Ch. 7 – Your Best Life…Later • If eternity is so much longer than this life, why do we invest so little comparatively? • How are you investing in eternity right now that requires faith? Ch. 8 – Profile of the Obsessed • What do Godly, financially successful people in the NT look like? • How are you doing with Luke 6:32-36? Ch. 9 – Who Really Lives That Way? • Great example, big and small, of those willing to give Christ everything • From the poor guy on the street sharing his stuff and the Gospel, to the George Mueller’s who invest millions of dollars in God’s Kingdom. Ch. 10 – The Crux of the Matter • For a whole week, try treating someone like you would treat Jesus for an average week. • What would that relationship look like at the end of the week? • Distant? Closer than ever? • How will you respond to spiritual challenges? • How does your faith in Christ make a difference in your life?
