For those who think grace is a license to sin and repent later, - TopicsExpress

For those who think grace is a license to sin and repent later, think again. The Bible says be ye holy as He is holy. Let us pursue holiness and purity of the heart and seek God while He may be found. The law is not abolished, it is fulfilled. Thayer Definition of destroy: to dissolve, disunite (what has been joined together), to destroy, demolish metaphorically to overthrow, i.e. render vain, deprive of success, bring to naught to subvert, overthrow of institutions, forms of government, laws, etc., to deprive of force, annul, abrogate, discard Thayer Definition of fulfil: to make full, to fill up, i.e. to fill to the full to cause to abound, to furnish or supply liberally I abound, I am liberally supplied to render full, i.e. to complete to fill to the top: so that nothing shall be wanting to full measure, fill to the brim to consummate: a number to make complete in every particular, to render perfect to carry through to the end, to accomplish, carry out, (some undertaking) to carry into effect, bring to realisation, realise of matters of duty: to perform, execute of sayings, promises, prophecies, to bring to pass, ratify, accomplish to fulfil, i.e. to cause Gods will (as made known in the law) to be obeyed as it should be, and Gods promises (given through the prophets) to receive fulfilment Matthew 5:17-20 AMP Do not think that I have come to do away with or undo the Law or the Prophets; I have come not to do away with or undo but to complete and fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until the sky and earth pass away and perish, not one smallest letter nor one little hook [identifying certain Hebrew letters] will pass from the Law until all things [it foreshadows] are accomplished. Whoever then breaks or does away with or relaxes one of the least [important] of these commandments and teaches men so shall be called least [important] in the kingdom of heaven, but he who practices them and teaches others to do so shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness (your uprightness and your right standing with God) is more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
