For three seasons my husband and I have been managers at a wonderful small campground in north central Minnesota. Our intention of Workcamping is to travel, visit, meet and get to know the people in different parts of our country. This wonderful campground keeps calling us back and it is time for us to move on. This coming season we have accepted a new position on Colorado. With this being said, Hickory Lake Campground in Aitkin, Minnesota will be looking for new managers. It is only 63 sites of owners and seasonal families only. No reservations and no daily check ins. The responsibilities are basic. Your typical campground duties: pool maintenance, cleaning of facilities, grounds maintenance with no mowing, and activities as necessary. If you are a self starter and enjoy working on your own, this is a perfect place. What the owners ask for in return is that the work gets done, you are fair and honest, and neat and organized.
