For three weeks, I have been offering, here on Facebook forum, to have a dialogue with my conservative friends in hopes of starting a national movement where we agreed we are all Americans and could find a grassroots compromise that might supersede the impotency of congress and not one person has taken me up on it. Many are dear friends and family, some classmates from college and high school fifty years ago. I am disappointed that nobody (perhaps with the exception of Mickey Stephenson) would engage with me. (and thank you, Lefty ... you have tried) ... so now, it has come to this. If you believe that Obama was born in Kenya or Indonesia, please de-friend me. If you believe social security, headstart, food stamps, the VA, medicare, or Obamacare are wrong or unnecessary, please de-friend me. If you support Ted Cruzz filibuster and denigrate the filibuster of Wendy Davis, please de-friend me. If you support the greedy and not the needy, please de-friend me. If you support the Tea Party and not the people of the United States, please de-friend me. If you support the shutdown of the Federal government and/or the agree with those that are holding the payment of American debt hostage in order to win some narrow concessions from a duly elected branch of government, please de-friend me. If you think that Ayn Rand or Joe McCarthy are more important American heroes than John Kennedy or Lyndon Johnson, please de-friend me. And have the courage to post that you are doing so. Thanks.
