For todays lesson, I bring to your attention the Dunning-Kruger Effect. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect for a definition and description of this effect. It occurred to me that MANY of our politicians and MOST of our self-proclaimed commentators on talk shows suffer from this effect. Basically, if you are stupid, you are too stupid to know it (same could be said of other personal traits and characteristics) . Prime example: Rush Limbaugh doesnt realize how stupid and ugly he is. What do you think he sees when he looks in a mirror? Or, gulp, perhaps there is no reflection at all, confirming my belief he is stupid, ugly and a vampire!
