For too long a time now I have been worrying about ... well almost everything.Most of all about getting work that pays to provide for my family, as I grow older. About how to stay relevant in the career I have lived for more than 40 years. About whether I really have talent or have just been lucky. The reason I am telling you this is because something happened a few minutes ago that...well Id like to say something philosophical or hugely wise...but it isnt really. I was browsing through the news online when I came across an Esquire magazine interview with Robin Williams. I didnt read the whole article but one highlighted quote caught my eye... “TODAY, RIGHT NOW, AT THIS VERY MOMENT, STEP BACK AND APPRECIATE IT.” —ROBIN WILLIAMS ...and made me realise that I have not been doing that. Enough. Appreciate the NOW. Family. Friends. Health. Life. I made a silent promise to myself to correct my approach. And then....the phone rang. It was a producer from Singapore with an offer to cast for the lead role in a telemovie. Okay... okay so its a bit drama intro to a simple thing that happened over breakfast la. But thats how I felt and I thought I would share with you all la. “Remember this moment. Remember this because things like this dont happen very often. Remember this time.”- Robin Williams. Thank you, Mr. Williams.
