For trade. maybe for sale later. and I may throw in some cash 01 4.7l 4x4 Durango. Its nothing special but it has in my opinion one of the best years and most reliable of them 45RFE tranny. this thing should last to 300k Ive done tons of maintenance which should make it last along time, It has 190k Ive taken the tranny pan off and all looks great and it never had a tow package so its never towed which is good news on the tranny.the bad is its blowing blue smoke at on and off throttle or after it idles for a few, Ive tested to make sure its the valve stem seals and not the piston rings. compression and leak down test was normal. The valve seals are 30bucks and the tool your need is 80.00 if you can remove a valve cover then you can change them on your own. Im wanting something else so thats why im getting rid of it. if I keep it ill just change the seals later and sale or trade it anyway. It runs great always starts and shifts great.ive ran a slow engine cleaning in it with Valvoline maxlife oil and a wix filter. The paint I used can be brought all over. if you ever get a dent or scratch and want to fix it you can do it on your own and in a couple hours. Thats why I chose the way it looks. it does have a couple more simple probs but all of them can be fix cheap. Heres the good. 3 back seats-- 33in brand new mud tires--3in lift--heavy duty valve body plate--shift kit-new tranny fulid--new oil-good spark plugs-good air filter-new front half shaft for the 4x4- New left front hub---new cam-crank and transmission sensor--new oil pressure switch--radiator is about a year old- throttle body and all pvc lines have been clean and new pvc valve The bad-- the valve stem seals---front right window motor needs replaced 30.00 on ebay. climate control is stuck on defrost and vent. and only blows on high. Thats all i can think of. The tags are good till 05-2015 i think and the title is ready to go. And questions send me a question. Dodges have to main problems.over heating and oil sludge will kill these motors as long as you never let it over heat and I have taken care of the sludge most just continue to run a good oil these motors will last forever
