For unity among Pro-Freedom leaders, I’m ready to be designated as worker or activist, says Peoples League Chairman Mukhtar Waza 2 Posted on Monday, August 11th, 2014 by Online Editor Bilal Bashir Bhat Srinagar, Aug 11 (Only Kashmir): Saying that I’m ready to be designated as an activist or a worker of his pro-freedom party, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (PL) and Executive Member Hurriyat (M) Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on the occasion of his party’s former slain chairman Sheikh Aziz’s anniversary said that I invite all the leaders who left the party including Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Khan and Advocate Bashir Ahmad Tota, Muhammad Aslam Wani, Farooq Rehmani, Ghulam Mohammad Gania, Fazal-ul-Haq Qureshi, Khan Sopori, Mukhtar Sofi, Tasaduq Laway and others to come forward and join PL for the benefit of the party’s strength and for the Kashmir cause. While terming the cracks in Hurriyat Conference as unfortunate, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a gathering of Pro-Freedom leaders at Martyrs Graveyard Eidgah Srinagar said that Peoples League is the mother of all Pro-Freedom organizations in Kashmir, and this party has created a number of pro-freedom leaders including the chairman of newly created faction of Hurriyat Conference, Shahbir Ahmad Shah. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza who represents Peoples League at Hurriyat Conference’s seven members Executive Council said that the real tribute to our martyrs is only to carry their mission to the logical conclusion, and this can only be possible if there is unity among all of us, said Waza. Among other noted leaders who were present on the occasion were, JKLF (H) chairman Javaid Ahmad Mir, Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat, Muslim League Chairman Hakim Abdul Rashid, National Peoples Party Chairman Syed Salim Geelani and many others.
