As a patriotic American I am happy that in our national team managers considered opinion there is not a snowballs chance in heck that our footballers will win the World Cup. There are few things that could happen in the near term that would be worse for our foreign policy than for Captain Clint Dempsey to hoist the FIFA World Cup Trophy over his head. Would it be worse if it was revealed that some rogue at the NSA uploaded revealing photos of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, meant for her husbands eyes only and lifted from her phone, to a MILF web-site? No! Even the Germans would be more appalled at American boorishness following a Yankee World Cup victory than having their head-of-state revealed to the world in all of her natural glory. You doubt me? You say I am exaggerating or joking? I tell you I am in earnest. Consider, do you know how crazy celebratory countries get when they win the World Cup? Of course you dont. You are Americans and probably dont even know what the World Cup is. See here fifa. It is the most important sporting event for the ROW (CIA and Pentagon speak for Rest of World). It is the Super Bowl for the 96% of the World population GOD didnt like enough to make Americans, Bless their hearts. So picture Chicago if the Cubs ever again win the World Series, only the celebrations are nation wide and not as restrained and responsible. But imagine the scene following a USA win when news teams from around the planet poor into American sports bars to get the common mans reaction. Football World Cup? Do you mean the Super Bowl? Are you talking about Soccer or real football? Really? We won that? Yeah, its the first I heard. USA! USA! Disappointed fans from around the world will HATE US!!! UK Football fans who are regular Sunday attendees of the Church of England will join Al-Qaeda for the chance to commit acts of terror against America. So here is to the USA not winning the 2014 World Cup. For once rooting for Team USA to lose is the patriotic thing to do.
