For years now Ive had the belief that, if you want to donate to a large organized charity, pause and look around you. There are good people, people you know that need help. I really feel that even though large organizations do great things, the second there are people on the payroll at a not for profit, the goals of the organization HAVE to change. I dont donate money to large charities, instead I give where I see it is needed. It has been incredibly rewarding and what Ive seen some of the people Ive helped do in a pay it forward way has been incredible. Im not saying, dont give to large organizations and I wouldnt even go so far as to call what the ALS Foundation has done as fraud BUT I know, what help Ive given to people has made a difference. Can you really say the same if you give to a large organization? If we all just helped those around us, the world would be a much, much better place. Take my views as something to consider, nothing more.
