For you creative writers out there: many feel that writers block will last forever. It WONT, jus be patient. I had to veer off and write a critical piece lately, which I havent done in many years, and which I do not especially like to do. It so changed my mindset that I find I cant write a poem now. Criticism is analytical; poetry is metaphoric. Like switching gears. So I will just wait, keep my eye on a catalyst, and then get back into metaphor. Imagine the difficulty if you have a mathematical mind! Of switching to reading or writing poetry, that is. But dont despair--the inspiration will return when you least expect it. Ive probably had writers block ten thousand times in my life; it always goes away, and fairly quickly.
