For you do it your self guys thinking about adding a fairing!!just thought i would share my recipe....... I added one of these to my nomad and it makes the fifth fairing Ive set up, I start with a reckless fairing, $450 I ordered mine with two windshields one - 8in clear and one 5in tinted, with front chrome trim, fairing came set up with 4 speaker cutouts , standard receiver slot cut out, from this point on I create my own sound system just as many others have, I consider myself a 10%er one who must tinker and create something that is my own design with my flare, however Im no Jesse James lol however i want to share my budget friendly set- up that will rock you, your passenger and people 5 cars back, I order most my components online or at Walmart, none of my equipment is marine grade, i use the regular stuff that you would install in a car, under $150 you can get a receiver with 4x50 watt, Bluetooth, usb/sd drive (my favorite option) mp3 ect all the bells and whistles, pick from almost any name brand, I have used ,kenwood, sony, pioneer, these system will rock you out with out an amp, 4 speakers for under $125 I used 2 kicker mini subs for my inside and two sony xplod 4 ways on the out side, i also use a jvc marine receiver mount under $20 to protect against the elements, a little fabrication is required to fit mount!!! stereo mount comes with a template just trim it out using a dremel cutting tool for fiberglass, I went a little overboard with my set up adding an amp to power up the two kicker 6x9s that are mounted in the rear hardbags, I also single color painted my fairings cost $60 local paint shop used there high-tech camera on my bikes paint, snapped a shot and then inputted info to a computer and matched my paint from there they can mix your paint into a pressured fancy spray can!! 1 can will paint the whole fairing, you will also want one can of clear with hardener this makes it shine and keeps it durable, so for around $800 you can have yourself one bad fairing...
